Hello, I am Melina Tsapos, PhD in Theoretical Philosophy
at Lund University, Sweden.
I’m pleased to welcome you to my website.
Research Focus
My primary area of research is conspiracy theories.
My broader research interests include
epistemology (with an emphasis on decision theory and conceptual engineering),
network epistemology, social epistemology (testimony and echo chambers),
and the philosophy of mind and cognitive science,
with particular attention to the predictive processing framework
and cognitive biases.
I recently completed my doctoral thesis,
Dimensions of Conspiracy
– an inquiry into the cognitive and epistemic standing of conspiracy theories,
which develops a new framework for understanding the cognitive and epistemic standing of conspiracy theories.
